bearbones news

Happy Winter Solstice!   Here in south-central Alaska, our midday sunrise has rolled along the Chugach Mts. into a mid-afternoon sunset. As if that low-light show weren’t enough, the sun is now scattering splotchy rainbow sun dogs over the sea as it goes down — reminding me that there is always more than one way to do just about everything.   In the same way, bearbones is due for a change. Today marks two years of weekly poems. I have immense gratitude for the practice, and for anyone who has taken the time to read along. Thank you, from the bottom of my sunlit heart.   After today, I plan to take some time to update this website. When I post again (maybe in late January, 2020), I am imagining twice-monthly poems + short essays, offered as a pair.   We’ll see how it goes… your feedback is always welcome. In the meantime, “may the long time sun shine on you, all love surround you, and the pure light within you guide your way on” ( — lyrics from an old camp song).   With best wishes, bearbones/Tricia Elliott  ]]>
