Salt

Salt

Between the supple greens

and jagged ends

you see it —

the twisting view of no,

not

enough,

set amid brackish debris

like an open mouth.

You are not alone here —

can you taste it?

In the harsh and hungry shadows

swirls the salty swell

of truth.

Listen,

as your own sea, rising,

rushes to meet it,

surging past imagined

barriers,

flooding the echoing chambers

with

another answer.
